September 2013
In reading back on last year's post, I am heartened (and surprized) to notice that there seems to have been a large degree of consistency to life since the last entry;
I am continuing to work in my trade(although have changed jobs three times since then;), it has remained within the Cabinet-making industry.
Time spent with family and affections stirred among them has been consistent and growing and especially lovely has been the joy of watching my two Niece's growing up:) The blessing of family has been realized more and more and I have been enjoying the gift of those relationships.
When I think back to the day when this blog title dropped into my mind, and see what still continues to stir my heart and move my hands and lips, I am realizing the call to follow in the steps of my Saviour to go out seeking the lost and seeking to bring them to Him.
In the last year it has been my great joy being somewhat involved in our church's Berean church plant, and the relationships formed have been a real blessing.
I continue to serve in my local church, Hillcrest Baptist Church while at the same time juggle an attendance at two of our other church plants- Church planting excites me, any encounter with the lost really charges me up- that's why we are still here on earth, and not with the Lord in glory -to reach the lost and bring them the ministry of reconciliation- the good news of Jesus Christ!
I would like to end this post with an exhortation, considering the days we are living in and the (human)uncertainty of life (for all things are certain to God, and all things are fully under His control and awareness)for all people everywhere to fear God, come to Him for salvation from your own sin, security of knowing you belong to an eternal God who is One, and Who alone possesses eternal life for all who trust in Him, namely Jesus Christ and His atoning work done on the cross when He died for the forgiveness of our sins. And Love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength, do not grow weary of doing good, do not lose heart, keep the faith, fight the good fight, for in doing so you will receive the crown of glory, eternal life in Christ, with the Triune God.
To Him alone belongs all glory, and honour and blessing and praise and thanksgiving, now, yesterever, and forever. Amen.
