Dear friends,
I appologise for not sending much news in a while.
It has been a dificult experience adjusting to life back in South Africa, but I am back in my old job- doing wood joinery- and that is going well, I am staying with a dear family for the time present which has been a tremendous blessing in varoius ways.
While I was in Malawi, the conviction grew to focus more attention on my family when back home, and so I have been doing that, and that too has been a good thing and trust will continue to be.
Some big news is that I have taken counsel from my elders in the church not to go ahead with my plans to Study full-time next year but to remain in the Church and study with them and serve in the church for the forseeable future.
This has not happened lightly, but I have seen that biblical submission to my elders has not been propperly in place in my life and as such I have made some big decisions in the recent two years against their counsel which has caused me heart-ache.
I want to just say that I take this action in the sight and fear and obedience of God, firstly, not to man. My heart is set in faith on God, that He is my sovereign and as my heart has not wavered from serving Him in mission and outreach, He is well able to use me and send me or put me to whatever His will is for my life.( I hope it is vocational mission to the un-reached yet!)
If you are led to pray here are some requests;
Lastly, I want to say a huge thank you to all who have been praying for me and supporting me in the time you have known me. The Lord knows your deeds and sacrifices and He will not forget to reward you!
I think I will put news(including this one) on my blog- hisothersheep.blogspot.com- so that people can access it at any time to see whatis going on in my life at your own discretion.
I would also like to develop more personal relationship with those whose hearts have been united to some degree with mine, so if this is you(and your heart is still in that place) if I dont send mail directly to you please forgive me and give me your email so that I can develop a real relationship with you!
Lastly, but most importantly, If you have found that the Lord has burdened your heart and used you in intercession for me in a fairly regular pattern over the last two years, you are my most honoured of friends, fellow soldiers!
I sincerely would like to know who you are and develop a list of my fellow warriors who are standing shoulder to shoulder with me in this Holy war! So please email me and tell, and ensure that I know who you are. I cannot emphasize the importance of this enough to me.
I will close with this passage, most relevant to my life right now;
"Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account. .." (Hebrews 13:17a)
In the Mighty hand of God, by His mercy and grace alone
Dave.

If you are led to pray here are some requests;
- Discernment in how to serve the Lord here for now and in what capacity( I desire greatly to be used in reaching the lost, and some opportunity could be arising to work with a new church plant in down-town Durban with one of my existing elders from October onwards)
- Spiritual revival, and vigour in my own heart and a well disciplined routine of devotion to God.
- A life companion to glorify God with through marriage union as Christ and His bride display.
- Wisdom in financial matters, especially with regards to supporting missionaries with the money I am now earning.
Lastly, I want to say a huge thank you to all who have been praying for me and supporting me in the time you have known me. The Lord knows your deeds and sacrifices and He will not forget to reward you!
